Creamy Nyonya Tofu Pasta ✨
I was wanting to make a creamy pasta using the oatly cooking cream. Whilst cooking I added some Nyonya Curry Paste to add some flavour and was left with a great combo of pasta and creamy curried sauce! It’s a win if you’re a curry/spice lover 😍
All you need is a few ingredients and 25 mins! ⬇️
250g tofu, diced
1/4 brown onion, diced
1 potato, diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1-2 small potatoes
1 tbsp ayamaustralia Nyonya Curry paste
250mL oatly cooking cream
1 tsp veggie stock powder + 3/4 cup water
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
Handful of green beans or snow peas
1️⃣. Cook pasta as per packet instructions and set aside. Steam potatoes until softened or cook in microwave, set aside.
2️⃣. Preheat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large fry pan over medium-high heat. Add tofu and fry until golden. Remove from pan and set aside.
3️⃣. Add more oil is desired then add onion to pan and fry until golden brown. Add garlic powder, curry paste, cream, veggie stock, water, and nutritional yeast and stir well.
4️⃣. Add green vegetables, steamed potatoes and tofu. Reduce to simmer for around 10 minutes (until sauce thickens).
5️⃣. Add sauce to pasta and enjoy. Best eaten on the same day so sauce stays super creamy 😋
